Community Rules

These rules keep our community safe and welcoming for everyone.

1

The Golden Rule

Treat others the way you want to be treated — kindness and consideration are the baseline. Discrimination is not tolerated and diversity is valued here. Avoid presenting political, religious, or anti-religious content as universal truth. Before posting, ask: is it true, kind, necessary, and helpful?

2

Admin / Mod Discretion

Admins and moderators reserve the right to remove members or content that violates the spirit and intent of the community. See something that crosses a line? Report it — every report is taken seriously.

3

Privacy and Sourcing

Ask permission before direct-messaging members. When sharing important information, include verified sources. No doxxing of individuals or vehicles without supporting media or a police report number. Posts that say "I can't say — PM for details" may be removed as potential scams.

4

Pet Protocol

No pet rehoming, pet sales, or "looking for a puppy" posts. Registered nonprofits may advertise adoption events. Missing pet posts are always welcome — help reunite pets with their families.

5

Assistance Requests

Start with the community Resource Guides for local organizations that can help. Frame requests around specific needs rather than personal circumstances. No cash, Venmo, or GoFundMe requests.

6

Employment Guidelines

Hiring posts must include the business name, job description, hours, wages, and benefits. Job seekers: skip the personal details — list your skills and availability instead. Odd-job posts should include the task, location, and compensation.

7

Small Business Advertising

Business owners must register and verify to advertise outside of open threads. 411PRIME members may post daily; Verified businesses may post three times weekly. Your business name must appear in your ads. For additional opportunities, contact advertising@the411forthe719.com.

8

Real Estate & Property Management

Realtors and lenders post listings in the pinned threads. Interested in more frequent posting? Ask Rob or Doug about the vetted real estate program.

9

Business & Service Recommendations

Ask away — and include your budget and specific details so the community can help effectively. Explore local businesses anytime at the411forthe719.com. Negative reviews are declined; use review platforms for those.

10

Nonprofit Organizations

Registered nonprofits may post daily. Peer recovery coaches and sober living homes should contact Rob Thompson for clearance. For nonprofit registration and event featuring, contact Andrea Macdonald.
